A pioneer of e-learning technologies, Spectrum Pacific Learning Company LLC (SPL) is a for-profit online learning service organization within the not-for-profit National University System. An internal division since 1996, SPL was formally created in 2002. Currently, SPL provides corporations, academic institutions and government organizations with state-of-the-art online learning services and products. Additionally, SPL continues to service the various online learning communities of the National University System.
Course Developers, Instructional Designers, and Multimedia Specialists work together to develop and refine engaging, interactive and instructionally advanced courses for diverse populations of corporate and academic learners. Each month, the User Services Department provides customer service and technical support to more than 4,000 users.
An increasing number of businesses, including global online service providers, engage SPL for consulting on the latest trends in the fast-moving, e-learning industry. From small institutions looking to launch their first online courses, to large corporations developing comprehensive online-training programs, SPL helps clients to improve the effectiveness of their e-learning delivery.
SPL's e-learning model is the foundation for National University's current offering of 38 accredited online degree programs and more than 300 online courses. While continuing to support System institutions, SPL has developed a growing niche in the e-learning marketplace and is building partnerships with corporations, government entities and academic institutions. External clients include Saybrook University, United States Institute for Corporate Education, Lake College and Myron B. Thompson Academy.
