National University 2011 Golf Tournament set for May 16 at Morgan Run

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The 2011 National University System Invitational Golf Tournament is set for Monday May 16 at Morgan Run Club & Resort in Rancho Santa Fe, California, Chancellor Jerry C. Lee announced today.

The National University System 2011 golf tournament will benefit scholarship funds for the National University Golf Academy. As a private, non-profit institution, National University relies on community and alumni support for its endowment.

The tournament is open to anyone wishing to support the National University System, including students, Trustees, faculty, administration, staff, alumni, business partners, and friends of National University. The tournament will follow a scramble, best ball format and will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Golfers and sponsors are invited to a reception and silent auction immediately after the tournament.

Participants in the tournament receive a round of golf, a commemorative foursome photo plaque, golf gift bag, boxed lunch, reception and hosted beverages. Tee times in the tournament are available for $250 and hole sponsorships are $1,000.
