Cynthia Larsen-Daugherty Named General Manager of Spectrum Pacific Learning Co.

La Jolla , CA - Cynthia Larson-Daugherty, Ed.D. has been appointed general manager of Spectrum Pacific Learning Company (SPL), an independent company affiliated with the National University System.

Dr. Larson holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Towson University of the University of Maryland System and a Doctorate in Education from the George Washington University . She joined National University in 2002 as an assistant professor in the School of Business and Information Management, and has been active with course development and conversion to an online format. Her administrative background includes positions with the Federal Reserve Bank, Chevy Chase Bank, and the George Washington University , with a specialization in human resources training and development.

SPL provides online knowledge management solutions, service and support. Currently, SPL has online course and training program development for academic institutions and the business community, instructor and learner training in the online environment, and portal administration. It is licensed and certified to meet the training needs of Blackboard Inc.'s U.S. and international clients. Blackboard Inc. is a leading software company in the e-education business. A short list of SPL's clients include the Saybrook University, College of Oceaneering, National University, which offers 16 online programs and more than 200 online courses. Under Dr. Larson's direction, SPL will place emphasis on new product development and partnerships outside the National University System.
